You can review your election location here.

OUR EYES, EARS, AND BOOTS ARE ON THE GROUND

Our candidates want to meet with and hear from YOU. Please reach out if you would like to meet your SC house nominee. If you’d like information about events with our state and federal candidates, or if you are interested in volunteering with county organizations. We are going to have a fantastic slate of candidates in November, but they will need YOUR help to get across the finish line.

CCDP PARTICIPATION IN PRIDE

June is Pride Month, and CCDP is excited to walk in the Pride Parade on June 25th! You can access our updated webpage, sign up to participate in the Pride Parade, or donate.

We are looking for someone with a pickup truck and trailer or a golf cart that we can decorate as the float. If you can provide this, please email sagid@charlestondemocrats.com!

Happy Pride!

CCDP @2022 Charleston Pride Parade!

That’s right! Charleston Pride Parade is back for 2022! CCDP is proud to support the LGBTQ+ community and join in on the festivities! We will have a decorated trailer, hand out candy, stickers, and flyers, and let our Pride flags fly. We will gather at 8am at Wragg Mall by the Visitors Center, and the parade starts at 9.

This year the parade route is shorter and will just be down King St. from Ann St. to Market St. There will be limited seating for those that need it on the trailer, but otherwise, all participants will be walking as group along the route.

All participants will receive a free t-shirt. However, we are asking for a donation of $20 per shirt to cover our costs. Click here to donate towards shirts, decorating supplies, and giveaways.

  • DO donate non-perishable items that will hold up in the weather
    • example: canned vegetables and meats/fish, sauces in jars, boxes of rice or pasta

  • DO donate small personal care items that will fit in the blessing box
    • example toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant,
  • DO NOT donate any open or expired items.

Lowcountry Period Project Supplies Needed!
Did you know that our volunteers build period packs in support of the Homeless Period Project? The project provides pre-made kits for homeless shelters and nurse’s offices at Title IX schools in the Lowcountry. These items are a luxury to homeless women and girls and many are forced to choose between hygiene and food. Please consider donating the following items so we can continue to support this amazing project!
-individually-wrapped feminine pads
-individually-wrapped tampons
-individually-wrapped wipes
-individually-wrapped panty liners

Thanks again for your generosity!

Our office has limited public hours due to COVID, but if you are dropping off donations, you can email wecare@charlestondemocrats.com to arrange a drop off time.
