August update: New laws in Florida take effect, Democrats ramp up

Do you know about some of the new Florida laws as of July 2023? A number of other laws passed are tied up in the courts with lawsuits challenging their constitutionality, including the 6-week abortion ban, the ban on gender-affirming care for minors, new restrictions on drag performances, and parts of the HB 7050 voter suppression bill. Nevertheless, many widely unpopular and repressive new laws went into effect in July. Read more at miamidadedems.orgStatewide Party NewsFlorida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried will be visiting two locations in Miami-Dade on Wednesday, August 9th as part of the Take Back Florida statewide tour.
