Happy April 1, 2021! What a wonderful day — nary a problem across the entire nation! Nothing to worry about, no struggles! Our work is done here. Thanks to all — let’s relax, party hearty, hug our neighbors, celebrate, celebrate, dance to the music!

Well … Happy April First, anyway! Read on for some of our recent actions that will still have a big impact. Oh, and keep staying safe, and get vaccinated when it’s your turn.

No Fooling, Take Action

Deadline: NOW – No one’ll think you’re an April Fool when you make these calls or pass this info along to friends! Here are highlights of our recent actions. Find more info & call scripts in the linked articles. Forward, March!

Fight for Voting Rights: The efforts to pass voter suppression laws are ongoing and so are most of the opportunities listed here.

Save Democracy, Kill the Filibuster: Efforts to get rid of the Jim Crow-era, anti-democratic filibuster are looking even better than when we published this action, so call — especially call Sen. Feinstein — today!

Support the THRIVE Act: The THRIVE Act is an amazing bill that tackles America’s public health disaster, racial injustice, the climate crisis, and economic inequity. Thank cosponsors Reps. Lee & DeSaulnier and Sen. Padilla, and tell Sen. Feinstein & Rep. Swalwell to sign on!

Stand Against Anti-Asian Violence: No fooling — this is, literally, deadly serious.

No Fooling, This Really Happened

Google “Are you __ing kidding me?” and you’ll get more than you wanted to know about Rep. Matt Gaetz. (Did we make ya look?) The latest: dude trading on his power & putative youthful good looks to have a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old. Which we might not care about, except it violates federal laws against sex trafficking — which Gaetz was the only member of Congress to vote against. Coincidence? You decide. Speaking of inserting yourself where you really shouldn’t: heard about what the Wedding-Crasher-in-Chief did at Marry-a-Lago recently? We can’t help falling in love with him being out of office.
