The Lean Left 2020 Strategy

Everyone’s excited about the presidential election but we also know that without change in Congress and at the state level, even a Democratic president will not be enough to confront our current political problems.  Through strategic, targeted action, Lean Left Vermont is committed to flipping state legislatures and Congress blue while ensuring the right to vote for all Americans.  Our target states for 2020 will be:

  • Pennsylvania
  • New Hampshire
  • Maine
  • New York
  • North Carolina

We will also engage with critical special elections as needed.

Kick-Off 2020 With Fair Fight & Stacey Abrams

We are getting the year started with showings of Suppressed: The Fight to Vote a documentary showing how Stacey Abrams’ 2018 gubernatorial campaign was sabotaged through voter suppression.  We will be showing this film at 8 (and counting) locations around the state later this month.

Check here for viewing locations & dates

Fair Fight, founded by Stacey Abrams, is our fundraising focus for January. Fair Fight is empowering the voters of America to set the direction of our nation by building voter protection teams in 20 key states across the country. They will help staff, fund, and train these teams to ensure that every eligible voter can register and cast a vote and that every vote is accurately counted. We hope you’ll join us in donating directly to Fair Fight today.
