2019 has been a spectacular year for the Yavapai Democratic Party. Publicly we exceeded all our goals, but the real work has been happening behind the scenes. It has been a year of building on the foundation laid over decades by the dedicated leadership of the Yavapai Democratic Party, and we have been able to expand and network, not just in Yavapai county but across the state as well. This work makes more resources available to us and has reinforced alliances that make us stronger. We’re ready to help Democratic candidates, support Democratic issues and be a reliable source of information for you, the voter and activist.
We all recognize that for most of us, this year will be the most important election of our lives. Regardless of where you stand on individual issues, we must unite in a single common goal: to defeat Donald Trump. The impeachment was a battle, not the war, a war we cannot afford to lose. It will take literally every one of us to achieve this. As citizens of not only Yavapai County but of the planet, we have an obligation to resist tyranny.
What can you do? The minimum required of everyone is to vote, but winning in 2020 and resisting tyranny will require more than the minimum. We will need you to get others to vote. Talk with your neighbors and friends, have the courage to speak politically. We will to need you to volunteer, to canvass, to donate, to help a campaign, and to practice democracy every day. We’re aware that volunteering is a sacrifice, and grateful to all of you who continue to give so much to protect democracy. No matter how small a part you play in the work we do, it matters! Do what you can. Quite simply, we are nothing without you.
All of us at YCDP are hopeful about the coming year, and we’re here to help you in any way we can. So let us know what you need: how can we serve your community better? Over the coming months we will be “taking the show on the road” by bringing YCDP Net Work Tour to you! If you’re looking to develop a YCDP affiliate group in your town, let us know. Our leadership is here to serve you with resources to support your growth. Please contact us about ways to host and participate. info@yavdem.org
Enjoy your families, rest and be assured we are here!
Inspired, Empowered and Ready to Act!
It is with hope for the future and gratitude that we wish all of you a peaceful New Year.
From all of us at the Yavapai County Democratic Party
