Zoom meeting to endorse Joe Biden & Kamala Harris
At our Endorsement Meeting on August 11th, WCDP members voted to endorse all Democratic Party candidates who had won their primaries and had asked for our endorsement. However, we neglected to include Joe Biden and Kamala Harris because they had not officially been selected as the Democratic Party’s nominees. In order for us to use our resources to promote this historic and exciting ticket, they need to be officially endorsed. Eli Savit, our co-Vice Chair for Resolutions, Bylaws, and Policy (and WCDP-endorsed candidate for County Prosecutor!), has come up with an easy solution to this: A quick endorsement meeting prior to the distribution of our Voter Guide. At this second Endorsement Meeting we can also consider any other Democratic candidates who won their primaries and did not previously request our endorsement. As Eli pointed out, we can solve this issue quickly with one vote so this meeting should be very short. We will not be considering non-partisan races at this meeting.
If you are a Democratic candidate who won their partisan primary and have not yet been endorsed by the WCDP for the 2020 General Election, please contact Chris Savage to request an endorsement by noon on September 21st.
