As we continue to endorse game-changing candidates around the country, we need to pause to share the sad news that Representative Gary Knopp of the Alaska House recently passed away. Representative Knopp, a Republican, was a key part of the bipartisan coalition that governs in the Alaska House, beating back some of the most radical policies in the country. Knopp signed on to America’s Goals and was endorsed for re-election by Future Now Fund just days before his death. He worked to build a better future for his community, his state, and our country.
A friend of Representative Knopp recently wrote, “Gary was humble enough to know that he didn’t have all the answers and that solving complicated problems takes working together. He was genuinely curious about other people and looked for the good in them. Again, he was someone who believed that doing the job means getting the job done.”
We’re committing to getting the job done. We’re proud to support candidates across the country who, like Gary, have a commitment to building the power to improve lives and are willing to put that commitment above partisan politics.
Today, we’re announcing these candidates who are ready to fight to improve lives and put people over politics. They are leaders in their own states, and are each committed to fighting for all of the people they represent.
