Sometimes the darkness seems overwhelming. Sometimes we feel weak and tired and we just want to cry and give up and eat ice cream for a living. And then we remember the people we love. We remember all the strangers who have become our Resistance family in the last four years. We remember the millions at the Women’s Marches and the tens of millions at the BLM protests. We remember winning the 2018 midterms and electing the most Democrats to the House since Watergate. We remember putting a Democrat in the Kentucky governor’s mansion and electing Doug Jones in Alabama and swinging Virginia, the capitol of the Confederacy, Union blue. We remember how much of the darkness we’ve already pushed back. Every one of those victories was the sum of a million acts of love. The act of picking up the phone and calling a stranger. The act of stepping out of our comfort zone in order to make the world a little more comforting to people in pain. We’re about to open up phone and text banks in 11 battleground states to empower the hundreds of thousands of unregistered progressive college students we have in our shiny new dataset. Each one of those phone banks and text banks will require more acts of love. Your love, and the love of people you lure to the party (possibly with ice cream). Together, we’re going to keep pushing back that darkness to make sure that on November 4th, the sun rises on a whole new country. We’ll call it America.

VOTERIZER IS COMING! BUT NOT THIS SATURDAY.
The Social Storm we had planned for this weekend to raise awareness for our new voter registration app – the Voterizer – has been pushed by two weeks. But fear not! All is well. We’re still planning Donnie’s Surprise Retirement Party and will unleash the #DontTellDonnie hashtag… but we have some exciting new opportunities to blow this launch out of the water and a short delay will help us maximize them. So stay tuned. Your invitation is coming… Voterizer is coming… and Donnie is going! (But don’t tell him yet).
