YES WE CAN
Yes is the most positive word in the English language. “Yes we can,” translated from the original “Sí, se puede” coined by Dolores Huerta, inspired America to elect Obama and save itself from the catastrophic Bush administration. This organizers’ mantra still lights the path forward.
You’ll hear a million reasons to give up. But none have the power, the beauty, the truth of “Yes we can.” Obama taught us, “Nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change.” We are those millions. We have that power. And if you’ve volunteered or donated so that others can volunteer, you’ve multiplied your power by empowering others, expanding the electorate one conversation at a time.
So don’t give up! Despite COVID, despite Russia, despite Trumpsters, despite everything… if we keep turning our passion into action, YES WE CAN take our country back in November.
