Last Week in DemCast

One hundred days. We spent part of last week looking at what the Biden-Harris administration has accomplished in that short time. In “100 Days of Sanity”. Content Director Mindy Schwartz discusses the achievements of the last 3 1/2 months. In our weekly feature “The Week That Was” you’ll find a series of articles about Biden written during the 2020 campaign up until this week.

Of course, Biden’s first 100 days are not all that our writers had on their minds. Frequent contributor Hank Cetola discussed gun control and the Republican reluctance to protect our citizens from gun violence. Cynthia Eller and Stephan Cox, who is the host of the Washington State Indivisible Podcast, shared a wide-ranging interview with Washington congressmember Adam Smith. Danielle Eaglewarrior, a talented member of our graphics team, and Content Director Rena Korb produced the second in their powerful series of images and words about racial justice and police brutality, this time focusing on kids; the first was inspired by George Floyd and the other victims whose last words were “I can’t breathe”.

There is still a lot of work to be done, and here at DemCastUSA we will continue to bring you interesting and informative articles about the problems we face and provide ideas about how you can be part of the solution. But, just for a moment, let’s smile and celebrate the return of competence and compassion to our government.
