Friends,
There is legislation being proposed (Senate Bill 90) that would purge current enrollment for vote by mail for all Florida voters. The bill will be up for consideration in the Ethics & Elections Committee and we are asking citizens to please speak up against this clear voter suppression tactic.
While Republicans had an advantage from vote by mail historically, Democrats now vote by mail at higher rates, and thus Republicans want to make it more difficult for voters to cast their ballot this way, especially leading up to the 2022 elections.

We are sending this alert to everyone signed up to receive our emails, because this issue is that important.
In particular, if you live in District 37 (formerly represented by Jose Javier Rodriguez), we urge you to call the office of State Senator Ileana Garcia, who sits on the committee, and ask her to reject the bill.
You can call her office in the morning at (305) 442-6841 or (850) 487-5037
Thank you for playing a part in protecting democracy.
