Last Week in DemCast, January 25–31

We’ve been so damaged by the last four years that it will take us all a while to believe that 81 million people successfully voted for a return to sanity and a competent government. Without the daily disaster we’d gotten used to, DemCast writers have been able to focus on other topics, some related to the current state of our country while others straying farther afield.

Regular briefings from the White House Covid Task Force assured us that the Biden-Harris administration is putting scientists in charge of dealing with the pandemic, and as noted in one of last week’s articles, there is a light at the end of that dark tunnel. Other stories looked at the fairness doctrine, Georgia’s steps towards becoming a Blue state, and the JFK assassination. We also noted Holocaust Remembrance Day and explained the filibuster. Finally, one of our California congressmembers discussed why his vote for impeachment was actually a vote for the Constitution.

We are working hard to make DemCast USA a site that readers will look forward to visiting regularly. Here’s another chance to see what we featured Last Week in DemCast.

DemCast is an advocacy-based 501(c)4 nonprofit. We have made the decision to build a media site free of outside influence. There are no ads. We do not get paid for clicks, but are sustained solely on donations from grassroots supporters. Because our revenue isn’t click-driven, we don’t take in any direct revenue from the creative contributions of grassroots activists who post on the site. This sets us apart from other media sites. And we’re proud of that.
