Tomorrow, Vice President Joe Biden will face Donald Trump in the final televised presidential debate of the general election.

And our friends at Gramps are once again helping us put together a safe, socially-distanced outdoor debate watch party. Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava will be joining us for this event!

Bonus: bring your “I Voted” sticker (or show that you voted by pulling up www.checkmyballot.miami) for a free drink and a free slice.

This is a ticketed event, so please sign up for the event here:

This is a socially-distanced outdoor event: please follow all CDC Guidelines and wear your masks.

There will be free food and drinks available for those who show they’ve voted already (limited quantities: first come, first served).

We look forward to seeing some of you at this event—and for those who can’t make it, we encourage you to watch the debate and cheer on Vice President Biden!

Onward,

This was not the Tweet I wanted to write. And it is not the Tweet I wanted to go viral.

Here’s what happened. I was at the Government Center Early Voting site when I spotted a police officer in uniform, with a gun and a badge, within 10 feet of voters, who was wearing a mask which read “Trump 2020 – no more bulls***.”

That’s voter intimidation. He broke the law as well as city and departmental policy.

Sadly, that was only the most egregious example of boundary pushing that happened yesterday.

Our team is on the ground, monitoring Miami-Dade County’s Early Voting sites, handing out literature with our entire Democratic slate, standing our ground, reporting incidents of voter intimidation, and using our First Amendment rights. We are on the front lines for our democracy.

Our fundraising goal this week is all about ensuring we have the resources we need to fight voter suppression at the polls and do everything we can to turn out Democratic voters. We still need to raise $2,175 to meet our goal by tonight. Can you chip in to help us get there?

This is the moment we’ve been working for, and we are in a good position. But we cannot be complacent. In these last 13 days, we need to be all in for our democracy. Thank you.

Yours in the fight,

Steve Simeonidis
