The Heartland mamas talk to John Spencer the chairman of the Clay County Democrats, and candidate for the Illinois House of Representatives in the 109th District.
The 109th is a geographically large area of downstate Illinois which incorporates Olney, Flora, Fairfield, Carmi and is adjacent to Mt Carmel, Indiana. Rural highways, rural school systems, rural values.
This area has been suppressed by republican leadership that has denied the 109th to open up to new ideas and progress. The seat is currently held by gun rights activist Darren Bailey, who sees no need for women’s rights, education, public health and wellness or living wages.
The Mamas sought out the person that would fill Bailey’s seat. And we found John Spencer! A lifetime of experience and public service makes it so John understands the nature and the needs of his community. His thoughtful insights on infrastructure, jobs, education and public health make him the perfect person to lead his community into their future.
Please take a listen as we talk with John Spencer about his vision for the 109th District, his community and for the State of Illinois.
