I’m not angry. I’m motivated.
We are going to put the GOP in the unemployment line come November. And they know it.
I know what you’re thinking: “Trump’s a king now, this is a coup.” Well, it’s not great. But if Trump thought he had the election in the bag he wouldn’t be trying to cheat and if the GOP thought he had it in the bag, they wouldn’t be enabling him. No, no. They know. They count on us not knowing and getting discouraged.
And I say screw that. Look no further than my home state of Kansas, where a Democrat was elected governor by ten points in 2018.
They ignored the will of the people with healthcare and taxes and got their butts handed to them in midterms. They’re ignoring the will of the people on impeachment and witnesses, and they will get their butts handed to them again, except this time the Oval Office and Senate are truly in play.
Parnas and Bolton aren’t done spilling the beans, and we have months to hear it and stay angry at the GOP’s complacency.
If you’re angry, definitely take that moment, feel your feelings. But be motivated. Rebellions are built on hope, and the Empire (cough) I mean the GOP are counting on us losing hope and giving in.
I said going in: I was an outcast growing up; I can take a truckload of crap and I will outlast these monsters. And so I shall. We all shall. But we’re at the difficult phase of outliving these monsters. We must unite.
It’s time to stop the stupid infighting and learn to all live together in a big blue tent that has room for Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders both, for Kirsten Gillibrand and Tulsi Gabbard both, for Sharice Davids and AOC and John Lewis and Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bloomberg. It can be striped for all the different shades of blue, but blue all the same. If we do not unite against the common opponent, we are sunk. Again. If we do not vote in large enough numbers to overcome any attempts at cheating they are likely about to attempt, we are sunk. Again.
Imagine the damage he could do with four more years.
I’m not angry. I’m motivated.
