On the heels of the Texas abortion ban and a day before tens of thousands of women take to the streets in protest, Portland filmmakers Eleven Films released #AmericanWoman – 2 minutes of pure pump-you-up adrenaline that screams ‘women’s empowerment’.
The video – to the tune of American Woman (performed by Muddy Magnolias) – flashes images of powerful women, from Ruth Bader Ginsberg to Oprah to Simone Biles, while driving a crucial message resonant for the struggle ahead: “We built this country by supporting each other. We stand together.”
Watch the video – then put on your marching shoes and head out to join one of the hundreds of Women’s March events across the US on Saturday, October 2nd!
