LWV Good Governance Symposium Series Session 2: Redistricting

The second session of our Good Governance Series will explore the impact of redistricting on our democratic process, and also look at “best practices” that will keep our maps from being gerrymandered. This session will offer a “Redistricting 101” by Ruth Greenwood of the Campaign Legal Center to ground attendees in the importance of this topic. Ruth litigates a variety of redistricting cases, with a particular focus on ending partisan gerrymandering and promoting minority representation. We will then hear from redistricting experts in South Carolina, who will explore implications of local and state redistricting in South Carolina.

Please note that this event is virtual.
