One year ago, we learned of the first cases of Covid-19 in Florida.
Since then, we’ve lost 31,000 state residents to the virus, including almost 5,500 in Miami-Dade County alone.
All along, Ron DeSantis has ignored public health experts, blocked the release of information that could help keep us safe, and doled out vaccines as a reward to his big-money donors. And as millions lost their jobs, he oversaw a state unemployment system so ineffective, it was rated the worst in the nation.
But DeSantis isn’t stopping there. In fact, rumor has is that he’ll run for president in 2024.
If we want to keep Ron DeSantis from having a serious shot at the White House, it’s up to us to #RetireDeSantis next year by electing a Democrat to replace him.
To do that, we need to build a strong ground game here in Miami-Dade County, and we have to start now. That means fielding an army of canvassers to engage existing voters on the issues that matter, and expanding the electorate by registering new voters.
