We’re still angry, outraged, and heartbroken from this week. As I’m sure we share these feelings with you, we also wanted to share three places we’re finding joy. These moments demand to be celebrated just as the others demand to be mourned.1. The victory of FNF-endorsee Candi King by a margin of 263 votes! This is a critical seat for holding the majority that we helped win by flipping just six seats in 2019.

“Without the support of Future Now Fund, our biggest contributor, we would not have had a successful campaign. Your support made it possible for us to hire people for field, to knock on as many doors, and to secure this seat. So thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything that you have done for this race!”
2. The election of Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. Warnock is only the second Black senator to be elected to the Senate from the South since Reconstruction. Ossoff is the first Jewish senator elected from the Deep South since the 19th century. Through sustained investment and organizing, primarily led by people of color, a long-shot became a reality.
3. The community we have created together. We find comfort in the fact that there are thousands of us working at the foundational level to make our vision for America a reality. The state lawmakers, the policy, the activation we will need, all starts in the states.
Ground yourself in what we have accomplished together. We will need this fuel for the work ahead.
Thank you for being on this journey with us,
