Blue Beginning

We can win in Georgia

As we write this, on Friday morning, Georgia’s Senate runoffs are getting interesting. FiveThirtyEight’s average of polls shows slight leads for both Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock. Early voting numbers show strength in Democratic areas, weakness in Republican. The GOP Virus has sidelined David Perdue, and President Lameduck is planning a rally Monday night. Will he inspire the base, or throw a hissyfit that keeps them home? In either case it’s a turnout election. And that means we can have a hand in it.

Pick a future: Will Mitch McConnell have the power to suffocate every reform the Biden administration attempts? Or will we get a fighting chance to make the changes we worked so hard for? We advanced the cause in Michigan and Wisconsin. We didn’t expect to wind up in Georgia, but that’s where we have to finish the job.

We’ve consulted with Democratic organizers on the ground and at their suggestion have scheduled three more phone banks, one on Sunday and two on Monday. We’ll be calling into Democratic strongholds to get out every last vote. Rookies are welcome. The phone banks will feature the preparation, support, and camaraderie we’re known for. And if our schedule doesn’t suit you we’ll tell you how to call on your own time.

Imagine how good it will feel to win this. Sign up here and have a happy new year.
