POSTCARDS!
for Spread the Vote
We’re sending postcards to young Georgia residents who may need help registering to vote or getting the required voter ID. We want them to register before the December 7th voter registration deadline, so these postcards must be written and sent immediately!
This effort is with Spread the Vote, a nonprofit organization that helps members of under-represented communities empower themselves to be heard at the polls: with IDs, registration, education, and turnout.
Pull together your pens and markers, get your postcards and stamps, and let’s get the job done!

TEXTING
Stacey Abrams’ org, Fair Fight Action, needs volunteers to text voters in Georgia every weekend for the next several weeks! They use ThruText to text, Hubdialer for phone banking, and Slack for support. There is a Zoom training (which combines texting and calling) that must be completed before your shift.
If you’re new to texting, we recommend familiarizing yourself a bit with the big picture concepts using the materials at leanleftvt.org/text. Fair Fight training doesn’t spend much time on how to use Slack, so doing a little self-study on Slack will be helpful!

MAKE CALLS WITH RECLAIM OUR VOTE
Reclaim Our Vote (ROV) is a volunteer-driven, nonpartisan voter-outreach campaign led by the 501(c)3 Center for Common Ground of Virginia, working in states with a history of voter suppression to re-register voters of color who have been purged from the voter rolls and help all eligible voters of color get to the polls at election time. ROV works with national and local groups that are doing serious outreach to voters of color on the ground in their target states.
