IN-PERSON VOTING IN FULL SWING

With less than two weeks until Election Day, we wanted to provide some reminders about voting methods available to you! Given that the state has made it so you don’t need an excuse to vote early this election, we highly recommend you go to one of the FOUR in-person absentee locations that are now open!

That’s right! Since Monday, all four satellite in-person absentee locations are open. They are located around the county and will be open from 8:30 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, continuing through Monday, November 2nd, as well as on the next two Saturdays (10/24 & 10/31) from 9 AM to 1 PM! Here are the locations, and you can always get more details at votebluesc.com/charleston:

North Charleston Coliseum • Convention Hall B
5000 Coliseum Drive, North Charleston

Charleston County Main Library (Downtown)
68 Calhoun Street, Charleston

Seacoast Church (Mount Pleasant)
750 Long Point Road, Mount Pleasant

Seacoast Church (West Ashley)
2049 Savannah Highway, Charleston

Additionally, if you have received a mail-in ballot and you do not want to return it through the mail, you can return the completed ballot through drop-off drive thrus at any of these four locations. Make sure you have filled out your ballot and have a witness sign it (which is now required)! We ask that, if you requested and received a ballot by mail, you complete that ballot and return it this way if you are concerned about the mail instead of attempting to vote in-person.

SATURDAY IN-PERSON ABSENTEE VOTING & ELECTION DAY VOLUNTEERSCCDP needs energetic, enthusiastic, outgoing volunteers to help at early in-person absentee locations AND on Election Day! Our volunteers will cheer on voters, encourage them to stay in line, and provide them with the Voter Protection Hotline number. Our volunteers will also be reporting back to CCDP on any poll wait times as well as any voting day issues. Our volunteers will remain outside of the polling location at the 200 foot mark from the door.

You can access all of the different locations to volunteer on the in-person absentee voting Saturdays (10/24 & 10/31) and/or Election Day below.

SIGN UP TO BE AN ELECTION VOLUNTEER

We will also engage and educate voters after they vote on Vote Tripling, to help increase voter turnout simply by texting their own contacts. People are more likely to vote when their friends tell them to. Rigorous experiments have shown that a GOTV contact from a friend increases a voter’s chance of turning out by 3-5 percentage points. That’s larger than the average impact of nearly any other turnout method — larger than phone banking, texting, mail, pledge cards, etc.

If you do nothing else, please contact your friends today and get them to pledge to triple their vote by reaching out to 3 friends!
