Election Time is NOW!

In-person absentee started last week, with thousands already having voted at the North Charleston Coliseum. Have you made your plan to vote? Get all the info you need at votebluesc.com/charleston, and if you want to help us reach as many voters as possible between now and Election Day, be sure to sign up at chsdems.com/2020. Phone banking and lit dropping are going strong, but we can still use all the help we can get! Volunteers have already hung 26,107 door hangers, with a reach of over 61,238 voters so far. Help us reach EVERY Democrat in Charleston before voting ends on November 3! You can sign up to grab a lit drop kit here.

CCDP OFFICE HOURS

The office at 1379 Ashley River Road is open on a limited schedule due to the continuing COVID19 outbreak. We will also have limited capacity during these hours and a strict mask requirement. These hours are subject to change.

  • Tue: 9 AM-12 PM; 3-7 PM
  • Wed: 10 AM-2 PM
  • Thurs: 9 AM-12 PM; 4-7 PM
  • Fri: 1-4 PM
  • Sat: 1-4 PM
Upcoming Events

Kristin’s Marathon Finish at Colonial Lake

Meet at Colonial Lake between 9:00 & 9:15 AM on the Broad Street side. Our run will start around 9:30 at the Broad Street side of Colonial Lake. We will return to the lake between 9:45-9:50. This is a safe course, so bicycles are also welcome. This run precedes the Womxn’s March event at 10 AM at Colonial Lake.

Million Womxn March at Colonial Lake

The Million Womxn SC organization will be holding a Womxn’s March in Conjunction with the National Women’s March on Saturday, October 17th at 10:00 AM. We will start at Colonial Lake.

We ask marchers to start at Colonial Lake. Our group will walk one time around. We will leave the lake onward to Broad Street, take Broad Street to the Four Corners of Law at Broad and Meeting Street, and then head back to Colonial Lake.

We ask all attendees to wear white, wear face masks and socially distance. Act now to get one of our 2020 Million Womxn March T-shirts while supplies last. Email us your contact info, size and address. T-shirts are $10. Add $2.50 for shipping. Donate on CashApp or through our DonorBox. We ask everyone to join us in support of Womxn across South Carolina and across the country.

Lit Drop Event for North Charleston

We have over nearly 14,000 door hangers to pass out to Democratic voters in North Charleston. We need your help to “drop lit.”Lit drop is so easy – just hang a door hanger (the literature, aka “lit”) on the address provided. No talking to strangers necessary. :-)Pick up your “turf kit” at any time during the time slot provided at Condon Family Law. Complete your turf kit within 24 hours of picking up your packet. Your turf kit will include ~40-80 doors within a small geographical area. It should take no more than 2 hours to complete a lit drop turf, especially if you work with a partner. Face masks are required for all lit drop volunteers.

Lowcountry Drive-In with Jaime Harrison

Come out and join Jaime for a drive-in rally in the Lowcountry! With just a few weeks left in the race, we’re talking to every voter in every community to get out the vote. Hear from Jaime and other leaders in the community about why this election is so crucial and get energized for Election Day!This will be an in-person, socially distanced, drive-in rally. RSVP’s are required, but entrance is first come, first serve, and attendance will be capped when the venue is at capacity. There is a limit of 4 people per car, and face masks are required for each person. Gates open at 4pm ET. A livestream will also be available for folks who are not able to attend physically.

East Cooper Yard Sign Drive-Thru

The East Cooper Blue Plate Special volunteers are distributing yard signs for our candidates’ campaigns and making them available in an easy and convenient way for voters in the East Cooper area. Show your support for our Democrats and the values that we stand for by picking up a sign and displaying it in your yard or window. We have signs for Jaime Harrison, Joe Cunningham, Ben Pogue, Richard Hricik, Daniel Brownstein, Jen Gibson, Rebecca Cingolani, Dan Gregory, Rob Wehrman, and Kathryn Whitaker at this time.

Our volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves and practicing social distancing. Arrive in your car and leave with a sign! All we ask is that if you take a sign, please display it! We will be in the parking lot of Olive Branch AME Church, 1734 Hwy 17N in Mount Pleasant (easy access off of Indigo Market Drive).

October Trivia Night w/ Joe Cunningham

Whether you’ve joined us for one of the previous Virtual Trivia Night events or not, come out on Thursday October 22nd at 7:30pm to recharge the batteries and rev up the engine for the final days before November 3rd!

Towner Magill of East Cooper Democrats will be hosting trivia via Zoom using an online platform called Kahoot!

We’ll also be joined by special guest Joe Cunningham to talk about how you can help his reelection campaign for SC-1 in the home stretch prior to Election Day. You might also learn something interesting and fun about Joe in the process!
