Election Resources
If you haven’t visited the website in a while, the WCDP’s Precinct Organizing Committee has put together an Election Resources page. You can find useful information on voter registration, where to pick up yard signs, flyers to share on social media, the location of your ballot dropbox, and a bunch of other stuff. It will also be the go-to place to find a digital copy of the famous Voter Guide. Content on this page will be changing constantly over the next forty days, so check back often. Visit the page here.

Voter Guide Progress Report
Many thanks to you, our readers and our members, for your overwhelming response in the face of adversity. This year’s voter guide is fully funded thanks to your generosity, and we are delighted to welcome the flood of volunteers who stand ready to help get it delivered. It’s at the printer now, and our team of Area Captains and other SuperVolunteers are ready to spring into action as soon as we get the word that it’s finished– possibly as soon as the 25th. If you haven’t yet signed up and want to walk a turf or two, get more info and sign up here.

Yousef and You – Rep. Yousef Rabhi
Sept. 14, 6:00 p.m.
Rep. Rabhi holds two “Yousef and You” forums each month where anyone in the 53rd district (Ann Arbor) can come to get an update on legislative issues, ask questions, and participate in open discussion. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, these forums are being held virtually. He is hosting Yousef and You discussions on the 2nd Monday and 4th Saturday of every month. He hopes many of you will be able to join him. See details here to learn how to sign up for these discussions for the rest of the year!

Special Endorsement Meeting
Sept. 21, 6:00 p.m.
This is a reminder that there will be another endorsement meeting this month to officially endorse Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and any other candidate who did not have a chance to request our endorsement prior to the last endorsement meeting. For more information, you may view the announcement email for this meeting here.

The Jeff Irwin Virtual Coffee Hour!
Sept. 23, 6:00 p.m.
Get your webcam ready, pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee (real or virtual), and join State Senator Jeff Irwin for his Virtual Coffee Hour. He’ll give you the skinny on everything going on in Lansing and answer some of the big questions about legislative action taking place in the State Senate. Check out the event on Facebook and fill out this form to receive a Zoom access code.

The Next General Membership Meeting
Oct. 3, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Next month’s Community Forum and General Membership Meeting will focus on housing access and affordability in Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County. More information can be found here and in a future a newsletter closer to the meeting. This month’s meeting, which took place on the 5th, focused on policing in Washtenaw County and can be viewed here.
