Hi Friends,

YOU’RE INVITED TO CTC’S “SAFETY-FIRST” DEEP CANVASS BRIEFING SESSION.

The next 77 days of campaigning will define the future of our lives.

And while we’ve had great success adapting deep canvassing to work in a virtual world, we know that nothing is more powerful than in-person, door-to-door canvassing.

This is a big moment: It’s time to go back to the doors, and we’ve devised a safe way to do it.

CTC has now piloted three small Safety-First Canvasses in the swing state of Pennsylvania. We engaged people like Kim, a 19-year-old Latino emergency transport driver who hates Trump but never made the time or had the motivation to register to vote.

On August 30th and over Labor Day weekend we are going to carefully begin to scale this up. But please don’t think you can just show up.

Because we’re as committed to curbing the spread of COVID-19 as we are to getting Trump out of office, all participants are required to go through a series of safety protocols. The first step is to participate in one of our Safety-First Canvass Briefings.

We’re offering a briefing session where we’ll walk through why we did this, show video of our approach in action, and explain the protocols we’re using to keep everyone safe.

If you are interested in learning more, join us for one of our Safety-First Canvass Briefings on one of the next two Friday afternoons. Register here for our briefing on Friday, 8/21 from 4:30- 6pm or Friday, 8/28 from 7-830pm.

There we will lay out the other requirements, which include an online story workshop focusing on how we do this at the doors, as well as individually scheduled safety calls, and a recent test for COVID.
