August 6 Newsletter: Help Us Get Out the Vote!

Dear Friends –

We have a lot of great news this week.

First, early voting started this Monday, and Democrats have been turning out in force, voting for candidates who will stand up for us in County government, in the Mayor’s office, in the State Attorney’s office, on the County Commission, on the School Board, and more.

Second, for the first time ever, Democrats in Miami-Dade have surpassed Republicans in our vote-by-mail request rate. This is fantastic news, because we know that voters who are signed up for vote-by-mail end up voting at higher rates.

Remember, your ballot must be received at the Election Department by 7PM on Election Day, Tuesday, August 18. After this Saturday, August 8, we do not recommend mailing your ballot in. Instead, we recommend bringing your completed, sealed and SIGNED vote-by-mail ballot to any early voting site around Miami-Dade County during early voting times and drop it in the secure drop box (bring your ID, so an election worker can verify your ballot).

We are calling Democrats to get out the vote. Please join our weeks of action to get out the vote for our DEC endorsed candidates!

Special BYE-DON Yard Signs

Help us say bye to 45, and let everyone know your candidate! Miami-Dade Dems have yard signs for Biden – you can make a $10 contribution here to request yours. You can pick them up from us at the Senate Victory office on any Wednesday during business hours, at 4649 Ponce de Leon. You can also reach out if you’re interested in helping lead phonebanks to voters who may want one. Email Ariel Sepulveda at fielddirector@miamidadedems.org

Become a Sustaining Donor

I can’t thank all of our sustaining donors enough for stepping up and pitching in a small amount each month. These sustaining donations allow us to plan the programs that will drive up voter turnout across our county. We couldn’t run our field program or our digital program without your support.

Can you become a sustaining donor of $7$10, or $20.20 today?

We know this is a tough time for many of us right now, so please know we appreciate you staying involved in any way that you can. Thank you for all you do.

Onward,

Christopher Richmond
