This weekend we will celebrate Independence Day, and say thank you to the many people who have worked to keep our country a living, breathing democracy. From the men and women in our armed services who have put their lives on the line for our country to those who work here at home to protect our sacred right to vote, we say thank you.
We are now just 18 weeks away from one of the most consequential elections in recent memory. In November, we have the power to use our democracy to strengthen our democracy. And we’re just six weeks away from one of the most important county elections in a generation. Be prepared for our August and November elections by signing up for a mail ballot today.

The Digital Blue Gala is coming up! Mark your calendars for three nights where we celebrate the causes near and dear to our hearts as Democrats, culminating in a special Thursday evening entertainment gala.

Help Us Make Phone Calls
We can’t let up on the phone calls. We can’t get complacent because we see a good poll in the media. We must keep our foot on the accelerator.
Voters across Miami-Dade County have been receiving notices from the Elections Department asking them to sign up for a Vote-By-Mail ballot. Help us make calls to our fellow Democrats to follow up and ask them to sign up. Sign up with any of the virtual phone banks below. We do trainings for anyone who needs it!

Postcards to voters
Not comfortable on the phones? We also have an extensive postcard writing campaign, and we have many more postcards to get through. If you’re interested in joining the program, you can make a donation for a postcard packet for $10, and it comes with 25 postcards, a list of addresses, and postage included. You can make a donation on our website here, and arrange for contactless pickup with our Field Director, Ariel Sepulveda.

Sign up for the Voter Protection Team
One of the missions that we have in the Miami-Dade Democratic Party is to protect the right of our citizens to vote. The Miami-Dade Democratic Party’s Voter Protection Committee, chaired by Wayne Brody is looking for volunteers to help with this mission.
We don’t know what in-person voting will look like in August or November, but we do know that we need lawyers, activists, and problem solvers to help recruit, work the polls, and troubleshoot remotely. If you are up to joining the fight to save the vote, click here to sign up.

On Monday, chair of the Miami-Dade Democratic Party, Steve Simeonidis, filed a formal complaint against Rhonda Rebman Lopez, Republican candidate for Florida House District 120 over a $1000 donation from a firm linked to former U.S. Rep. David Rivera, which can be linked back to Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro. Read our release here, and read the Florida Politics article here.
