Officials in Michigan recently approved a petition to recall Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
Now that the language is approved, right-wing Trump supporters have formed a committee to start collecting signatures soon.
The committee organizing the petition already has more than 33,000 website visitors AND 350 volunteers collecting signatures. And with a $5 million fundraising goal for recalling Gov. Whitmer, the threat is becoming serious.
These outrageous efforts to recall Gov. Whitmer are alarmingly close to becoming reality. And with recalls or impeachments happening against eight other Democratic governors, Republicans are trying to grab power all around the country.
The only way to stop Republican power grabs once and for all is to defeat GOP state legislators in November. Pitch in NOW to make that happen.
The GOP’s efforts to remove popular governors who have acted courageously to protect their constituents during a global pandemic is outrageous.
It’s clear what Republicans care about: Partisan power grabs and attacks on Democratic governors who ignored Trump’s incompetent, corrupt response to the crisis – rather than the health of their fellow Americans.
These Republican attacks aren’t slowing down, so neither can we.
