If you’re new to the list, welcome. You were added because you are one of Ohio Democrats’ best supporters. For those of you who are returning, welcome back.
We need to fill you in on everything that happened this week, so let’s jump right in.
9 to 5? More Like All D*mn Day
While Republicans in the statehouse are trying to pass through bulls*it laws…

And national Republicans are busy taking credit for things they didn’t want and voted against…
Ohio Democrats have been busy working around the clock to secure reproductive rights and protect constitutional rights ahead of the August 8th election. See just a few of the ways we’re engaged below.
Volunteers across the country have joined our phone banks and made over 80,400 calls informing voters of the August 8th primary.

Want to get in on the fun? Sign up for one of our phone banks!

Folks all over the state have also been busy knocking doors!
Ohio Dems are hosting a We Won’t Go Back Weekend of Action on Saturday, July 8th and Sunday, July 9th. Find a canvass launch site near you and get ready to knock some doors!
We’re gearing up for the August 8th primary. On Wednesday, July 5th at 5:30PM, Chair Walters will be joined by Senator Sherrod Brown for a Zoom Briefing 30 days out from election day.

The Senator and the Chairwoman will go over the successes of the Vote NO campaign so far and what we must achieve with a month left to go. Sign up to join us!
Keep in mind, all of this is happening after we turned in more than 100,000 signatures to put reproductive rights on the ballot.
Democrats are FIRED UP, and there is an energy in the air y’all! We can’t wait to turn out and vote NO in August and send Ohio Republicans a clear message: we won’t go back.
Party Like it’s 2023
We are two weeks away from the Ohio Democrats Family Reunion on Saturday, July 15th when Democrats from all over the state will gather to catch up and hear from our leaders!

Join us to hear from US Senator Sherrod Brown, the Democratic Congressional delegation, Supreme Court Justice Melody Stewart and more!
Bad Liar
This week, former speaker of the Ohio House Larry Householder was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his role in the largest bribery scheme in Ohio history.
While this sentencing is a step in the right direction, we know that Householder did not act alone. His cronies, Mike DeWine, Jon Husted, Dave Yost, Matt Dolan and Frank LaRose have their fingerprints all over the scandal.
Lying LaRose in particular learned from the best (at committing fraud) and is just another in a long line of corrupt Ohio Republicans.
In fact, LaRose’s super PAC for his not-yet announced Senate campaign is being led by a former Householder operative. It’s not really surprising when we remember the fact that LaRose has been running a sketchy shadow campaign dogged by ethics concerns.
It seems like LaRose is busy doing everything BUT his job as Secretary of State.
He’s running 5ks, he’s wasting millions of taxpayers dollars on an August election, and he’s bending over backwards to defend issue 1.
All while sending incorrect ballot language for issue 1 to local boards of election.

What do you think he’ll do next?! Hopefully leave Ohio.
Flavor of the Week
This week we asked the Mayor of Cleveland, Justin Bibb, his favorite local ice cream maker and flavor. Check out his answer below:
You can learn more about Mayor Bibb here. And be sure to catch him at this year’s Family Reunion!

Until Next Time
Ohio Democrats are working hard gearing up to re-elect Senator Sherrod Brown in 2024. Please consider contributing as much as you can to help Ohio Democrats turn out as many of our voters as we can to vote NO on Issue 1 in August.
If you’re unsure about how much more you can contribute, simply reply to this email. We’d be happy to help.
As always, thank you for standing with us. I am immensely grateful for your partnership.
