Tim Cywinski (Communications Lead) and Paige Wesselink (Digital Outreach Coordinator) from the Sierra Club Virginia Chapter will share their strategy for making climate issues understandable, relatable, and actionable.

Vanessa Borg (Loudoun Organizer, Freedom Virginia) and Jenaya Moore (Richmond Organizer, Freedom Virginia) will share how personal stories about affordable housing and healthcare can touch legislators and voters.

Rose Fabia, a local canvassing treasure, will share how she makes talking to voters a gift she gives herself and voters.

We will end with TikTok sensation Jessica Craven who successfully uses short TikTok videos as a training tool to message about important topics.

Ask all candidates running in your district to commit to Good Governance: VA Good Governance Scorecard is now active and we’re had more than 35 candidates fill it in, including 2 Republicans.  We encourage members to check it out by 1) clicking on the link;, 2) check if their candidates have filled in the scorecard, if not 3) click on contact and ask them via twitter/email to fill it in (sample text in twitter/email).  We also hope that grassroots groups share the Scorecard with their members.  Questions:

We did such a great job stopping the Mountain Valley Pipeline, they had to get an act of Congress to try to complete the project! While the Dirty Deal was a gut punch, we are still in a good position to finally defeat this pipeline by taking the fight to Wall St. Find out how and why we will defeat the MVP by reading Wall St. needs to cancel the Mountain Valley PIpeline that was published in Today’s EJ magazine on page 47.

  • CTA 2 – If you are a shareholder in NextEra Energy, Con Edison, Alta Gas, Equitrans Midstream or RGC Resources, contact their shareholder services to ask them to cancel the project and then contact the SEC to ask for the project to be investigated.

Kendl Kobbervig is now Clean Virginia’s Advocacy and Communications Director! Kendl has been leading organizing and outreach efforts for CV since 2020 and has significantly grown the movement advocating for power-shifting energy and governance reform in Virginia.
