Did you know Charleston Pride Parade is back for 2022? CCDP is proud to support the LGBTQ+ community and join in on the festivities today, June 25th. We will have decorated golf carts, pass out our customized Pride stickers, and let our Pride flags fly. Make sure you register if you plan to participate. Register here.
Our custom Pride shirts have arrived and you can pick yours up and hopefully put it on once you arrive! We are asking for a donation of $20 per shirt to cover costs. Click here to make your contribution towards a shirt.
The parade begins promptly at 9:00 AM! Please plan to arrive no later than 8:30 AM. The meeting point will be Wragg Mall (Ann/Meeting St). We don’t know our exact location until we check in at 7:30 in the morning. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of Charleston Pride volunteers in orange shirts that can help direct you to us!
This year the parade route is shorter and will just be down King St. from Ann St. to Market St. There will be limited seating for those that need it on the golf carts, but otherwise, all participants will be walking as group along the route. The parade route can be found here.
Currently, Charleston Pride isn’t guaranteeing a shuttle bus to bring people back to the start of the route. Again, we’ll have limited seating on the carts, so I would recommend carpooling or consider parking your car near Market St. at the end of the parade route if you’re unable to walk back or need to otherwise leave immediately after the parade.
We will have limited poster board and markers if you wish to make a sign! If you’re able, please consider making a donation to help offset the costs for our participation in Pride, so that we can continue to have the resources to fight for our candidates this fall! With today’s Supreme Court ruling, its more important than ever!! You can donate here.
We are so excited to see you all tomorrow and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
