Democratic Senate Scoop

New legal filings show phony J.D. Vance received unlawful support from a super PAC funded by Big Tech billionaire, Peter Thiel. This scheme gave the Vance team access to detailed information – including polling, opposition research, and even proposed ad scripts – all illegal under federal campaign finance laws.

Under Federal law, it is illegal for campaigns to coordinate with super PACs. There are pages of evidence that the Vance campaign accepted and used the material to the candidate’s benefit, helping him land ex-President Donald Trump’s endorsement and leapfrog past the other clowns in the republican primary he had trailed for months.

Peter Theil has contributed more than $13 million to date to this shady super PAC in an effort to buy Ohio’s Senate seat.

J.D. Vance owes Ohioans an explanation for why he outsourced his campaign to a San Francisco Big Tech billionaire in an illegal coordination scheme.

JD has Peter Thiel and his shady money. We have you. Together, we can overcome this shady scheme and help send Tim Ryan to the US Senate.

When you open the news, do you ever just say, WTF?

Well, this week, Governor Mike DeWine signed HB 99 into law. HB 99 allows Ohio school districts to arm more teachers with guns. The best part? Teachers will only be required to have 24 hours of training.

I don’t know about you, but I spoke with multiple teachers this week. Not one said they want guns in the classroom.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, permitless concealed carry went into effect on Monday. Ohio is now the wild west.

It’s these WTF moments when you realize you have to do something to stop the madness.

Democratic Governor Scoop

Mike DeWine’s Ohio is unsafe, unhinged, and terrifying. Mike DeWine is not a moderate and our party will do everything in our power to elect Nan Whaley as Ohio’s next governor

Can we count on you to help?

Happy Pride Month, family. This month, we will be featuring LGBTQ+ candidates across Ohio. This week, we’re highlighting State Senator Nickie Antonio.

Senator Antonio holds a number of historic firsts in the Ohio General Assembly. In 2010, she became the first member of the LGBTQ+ community ever elected to the Ohio House. She was the first LGBTQ+ member of the House to be elected Minority Whip. In 2018, she became the first woman ever to win Senate District 23 and became the first LGBTQ+ member ever elected to the Ohio Senate. Her historic firsts continued with her 2021 Senate leadership elevation to Assistant Minority Leader. Support Nickie Antonio here.

Flavor of the Week from Senator Nickie Antonio

We asked Democratic Senate Assistant Leader Nickie Antonio her favorite Ohio ice cream and maker.

“Vegan salted caramel is this vegetarian’s dream come true! Mike and Pete Mitchell started Mitchell’s ice cream on the West side of Cleveland in 1999 and have been loyal to the community ever since.”

Until Next Week

Summer is here and time is ticking for us to win this November.

We have a lot of work to do to get more field organizers on the ground in every corner of the state. We have offices to open, phones banks to hold, canvasses to launch, and of course – thousands of unregistered Democrats to register by Election Day. To do this, we need your help and we need it now. Please consider contributing as much as you can to help build the infrastructure needed to win.

If you’re unsure about how much you can still contribute to help us win in November and beyond, simply reply to this email. My team will respond with what you can still do to help us grow the team.

As always, thank you for standing with us. We are so grateful for your incredible support.

I hope to see you out on the campaign trail,
