Putting blood money donations above lives

“Yet another heart wrenching school shooting incident in Uvalde, Texas, nearly 10 years after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting tragedy. Many states have taken action to protect its citizens from gun violence but Governor Greg Abbot, Senator Ted Cruz, Senator John Cornyn and others have stood with the NRA and blocked state and federal gun control legislation despite the fact that all studies demonstrate that states with strong gun laws have lower gun death rates.

Congress passes a federal assault weapons ban, Ethan’s Law to keep kids safe from unsecured guns, universal background checks, and numerous other gun control bills, our nation will continue to be plagued by this man-made crisis. Until more Americans hold their local, state and federal elected representatives accountable in the ballot box, our children are not safe in stores, malls, schools, movie theaters, places of worship or any public space. Any elected officials who only send thoughts and prayers after this latest shooting are willing to sacrifice our children to protect the gun industry profits and they should be voted out in 2022 and beyond.” – Newton Action Alliance
