What’s on the Ballot?
Reproductive Freedom is on the ballot. You must sign the Reproductive Freedom for All petition, but don’t stop there. The State Legislature is quickly becoming center stage for Reproductive Freedom. Thanks to redistricting, Allegan County has several opportunities to send Democrats to Lansing. Please give your time and money to help our fabulous candidates get there. Gaining control of Lansing is critical to almost everything and Reproductive Freedom tops the list.
Free and fair elections are on the ballot. Jocelyn Benson and Dana Nessel MUST be re-elected to stay in office to protect the security of future elections among the thousands of other reasons. The challenges to the 2020 election certification could have had an entirely different outcome without JBens and Dana protecting democracy.
Public Health is on the ballot. Gretchen Whitmer fiercely protected this state from the Covid pandemic. Gretchen has protected us from bill after dangerous bill with her veto power. She has increased funding for education and fixed the damn roads! We are so blessed to have that woman from Michigan as our Governor.
We can’t take the 2022 election for granted. Never canvassed before? Well it’s time YOU started! Join us on Tuesday, June 21 at the Allegan Tech Center for our official 2022 Campaign Kick-off. We need every Democrat to support our candidates with their money and their time. With fair maps, we have the opportunity to take the Legislature and finally make the changes that we have been fighting for. It’s time for you to step up and help us make the opportunity our reality!
P.S. We have Reproductive Freedom, Promote the Vote, Raise the Wage and Good Time petitions at our Allegan office (Mon 12-3 pm, Thurs 3-6 pm, Sat 1-4 pm) or call me to find a closer opportunity. The deadline for Reproductive Freedom and Promote the Vote is end of June; for Raise the Wage and Good Time, the deadline is end of May. Please sign as soon as possible.
