Action Alert: Medicaid Expansion
Medicaid Expansion in Florida
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis turned down billions of dollars and left out millions of people when given a chance at Medicaid expansion. We now have a real opportunity to bring Medicaid expansion to Florida but need your help.
Congress can use the process of budget reconciliation with a majority vote to expand Medicaid in Florida. Can you please sign this letter of support and share with your networks:

More information from the press release that just went out:
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA), joined by U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Jon Ossoff (D-GA), introduced new legislation to provide critical health care coverage to more than 4 million Americans who had previously been denied access to affordable health insurance because of where they live. The Medicaid Saves Lives Act would provide health care insurance to Americans with low incomes in the twelve states that have refused to expand their state Medicaid programs under the Affordable Care Act. By closing the coverage gap in these states and providing free and affordable health insurance to millions of Americans, the Medicaid Saves Lives Act would also provide access to preventative health care services; improve health outcomes and prevent premature deaths; lower costs for uncompensated care, which would in turn reduce hospital and provider closures; and improve economic mobility for Americans with low-incomes by enabling them to work.

Since her ousting by the Florida Governor, Jones has been recognized by professional, academic and medical leaders across the country for her efforts in combating misinformation online.
With a background in climate science, geography and disaster response, Jones’ research and work centers on scientific research and communication about how climate change impacts extreme weather.
Jones fought against personal attacks and smear campaigns orchestrated by the Republican governor, and won international awards and recognition for refusing to be silenced – even after the governor sent state police to raid her family home at gunpoint. She is currently running for US House District 1 against Matt Gaetz.
