On Tuesday, December 15 at 6:00 p.m., the newly-elected WCDP County Committee will meet to choose the new Executive Board for the 2021-2022 cycle. There are four officer positions — Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary — along with two Vice-Chairs for each of the seven committees:

- Communications
- Programs Visibility, Outreach, Involvement, and Community Engagement (VOICE)
- Precinct Organizing
- Membership
- Administrative Affairs
You can read more about each of these committees on our new Standing Committee page on our website:
We will be using slate voting for the Vice-Chair positions. You can read more about slate voting here. Scroll down to the sections titled “What is a slate?” and “How does voting work?”
NOTE: Only members of the County Committee are eligible to vote.
If you wish to submit a slate (it can even be a one-person slate), please contact Chris Savage at chrissavage123@sbcglobal.net, and he will give you the information you need to participate in the election.
Also, we have several vacancies on our County Committee, and we will endeavor to fill some of them when the County Committee meets on December 15. You can see which regions have vacancies here:
If you or someone you know wishes to be considered to fill one of these vacancies, please contact Chris Savage ahead of time for more information.
NOTE: In order to be elected to the Executive Board and/or the County Committee, you must be a member of the Michigan Democratic Party. You can become a member or renew your membership here. (The option to skip the donation page is at the bottom.)
