— New York Times, August 24, 2020More than a Vote, a group of athletes headlined by LeBron James, is Launching a campaign to address poll worker shortages and the need to keep polling stations open in Black electoral districts.

We are going to be pivoting quickly in the next 17 days

looking to mobilize voters soon!

YES! Check out our list oftexting groups and make sure you are signed up and fully trained/onboarded with at least 3 or 4 different groups, and making sure that you are all set to get notifications from their Slack workspaces when they announce texting and/or that you are signed up for shifts with them if that is how they run things!
If you need a refresher on using Slack, particularly navigating from one workspace to another, check out our Get Started Guide.
Reminder that it is important to get plugged in with these groups now as many teams are starting to close their doors to new volunteers so they can focus on getting those massive lists of texts out the door!
Three groups that tend to be “drop-in-friendly” — meaning you can get trained on your own time by watching videos or reading documents, and then just show up and text pretty much whenever works for you — are Resistance Labs, MoveOn and People’s Action. The links to sign up with them (or the URL for their Slack workspace if you are already signed up with them and just need to find your way back to their Slack!) are in the texting groups.
