Yes, we’ve made it one Friday closer to Election Day. Rejoice, even if you weren’t able to snag that cool Biden fly swatter! Today we added two great organizations to our voting guide. (tinyurl.com/Ventura-2020-Guide)
#1 – Physicians for Progress – Ventura County. Since 2017, when the administration started dismantling the healthcare reforms of the Affordable Care Act, this amazing group of medical professionals has been conducting educational outreach campaigns in support of single-payer national health insurance as the way of ensuring universal healthcare. “We strongly endorse @JoeBiden because of his platform, the most progressive of any general-election presidential candidate in history!“ And instead of dwelling on our current administration’s failures, they’ve put together a POSITIVE campaign – with 100 reasons to vote for Biden based on his platform planks (see all 100 reasons here) – Please share their uplifting and educational graphics on twitter, and Facebook!https://twitter.com/pfpvchttps://www.facebook.com/physiciansforprogressvc/
#2 – We’ve added proposition and local measure endorsements from “Get Out To Vote” (GOTV). This is an organization of Ventura County African American leaders, residents and local African American organizations working together in an effort to make sure the community votes and is properly educated, represented and informed about the issues and candidates on the November 3 ballot and other issues that affect the community throughout the year. https://indivisibleventura.files.wordpress.com/2020/10/gotv-booklet-2020.pdf

There are a number of phone/textbanking efforts today, and throughout the weekend, on both our main page and on our “What can I do now” list.https://indivisibleventura.org/what-can-i-do-now/ Pick a group to help, take the training and get started. All done from your own home.
We totally recommend an enjoyable new video we added to the page with actor Mandy Patinkin and his wife Kathry Grody explaining how to participate in phonebanking. Here’s the direct link: https://youtu.be/YMxsI04UBT0
You still have time to do join our postcard campaign – we’re north of 20,000 now! Wanna help? Email “I WANT POSTCARDS” to email@example.com.More here: https://indivisibleventura.org/what-can-i-do-now/
We are so impressed by everyone’s efforts. From amazing teenagers to the 102-year-old woman in a hazmat suit dropping off her ballot (photo on our post. Link: tinyurl.com/Antiracist-events-Ventura), never have we seen our country so engaged in saving what is best about America and clear-eyed about the tremendous amount of work that needs to be done.
Head’s up, people. We got this. If you haven’t gotten your ballot yet, go track it down. wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov
