The week in polls: Biden gains on Trump nationally, leads in most swing states
Heading into the presidential debates, Biden gained a half a percentage point in his national polling average lead over Trump in key states such as Pennsylvania. Biden leads Trump 54-45% among likely voters in Pennsylvania, thanks in part to a 2-1 lead in the Philadelphia suburbs, according to new polls.

Biden campaign tees up Trump tax issue on eve of first debate
The Biden campaign has prepared and is expected to address the tax fraud allegations and accuse Trump of gaming the system to avoid paying his fair share of taxes, in addition to undermining government advice on mask wearing, lying to Americans about the dangers of COVID-19 early on making the pandemic worse than it needed to be.

Amy Coney Barrett ‘will undo’ Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s legacy: Sen. Kamala Harris
Harris presented Barrett as the antithesis of Ginsburg’s legacy, but also said Barrett “will undo (Ginsburg’s) life’s work.” Harris pointed to the Affordable Care Act and Roe v. Wade — the ruling that gave women the right to abortion — as aspects of American life that would be in jeopardy if Barrett is on the court.
