This is a big one, too: Spencer’s landslide, 20-point victory is a huge upset in a South Carolina district that favored Donald Trump in 2016, and it’s nothing short of a disaster for GOP Senator Lindsey Graham’s reelection chances.
With this final special election win in the books, we’ve now entered a critically-important stretch of the 2020 campaigns. We’re just days away from the start of the Democratic convention – and Joe Biden just announced Kamala Harris as his running mate – and it’s time for Democrats to focus on pouring as much energy as possible into the final sprint to November.
The 2020 elections are the most important in our lifetimes. In the words of our presidential nominee Joe Biden, “we are in a battle for the soul of this nation.” We’re counting on you to step up and see this through.
The general election is kicking off in full steam, and Democrats in every state need to join the movement if we want to win this fall.
All of our most cherished progressive priorities are on the line: Defending our health care, commonsense gun reform, protecting voting rights, ending GOP gerrymandering, and more.
