EVP focuses on voters, not candidates. Why? Because politicians follow the votes. EVP has identified tens of millions of environmentalists across the country who don’t vote as often as they should. Peer-to-peer texting (aka textbanking) is a fun, flexible, innovative way to reach voters (and voters-to-be!) all over the country from the comfort and safety of your couch. Join us for BootCamp2020: Textbanking 101 for an introduction to the what, why and how of texting out the vote! If time and opportunity permits, we’ll do some live texting so you can see it in action, and we’ll allow plenty of time for questions! Sign up here!

Training with PA Dems

6:30-7:30 PM
The PA Dems voter protection team is running a training for voter assistance hotlines to answer voters’ questions about voting by mail, registration, polling locations and other issues. This hotline has been a lifeline for many voters. In Pennsylvania, the volunteer-staffed hotline fielded over 5,700 voter calls from April 1st to June 15th. Join other Vermonters on the PA team! to buy stamps this morning. When I told the clerk I wanted 500 postcard stamps, she jokingly said, “Oh my…what did Trump do this morning to cause all you ladies to come in and buy up all my postcard stamps?!? —Roxanne, Reclaim Our Vote
We are writing postcards to encourage Texas voters of color to vote early and avoid long lines on Election Day. We’re also giving them a phone number to call or text to find their polling location. THESE POSTCARDS WILL BE WRITTEN NOW BUT HELD FOR MAILING BETWEEN 9/1 AND 9/5 (when the most up-to-date information is made available).Sign up here.
