Top Actions:

Waking from our dreams Thursday morning, ready to send this newsletter, we saw the nightmare headline: the Tyrant-in-Chief wants to delay the election. We already knew he wants to send stormtroopers to Oakland. It’s (past) time to JUST SAY NO. This, our last weekly action newsletter between now & November, is a biggie: two big actions, two other important things for you to do — see the boxes below the actions. After this week we’ll send you mostly election-themed newsletters, with monthly (or so) updates on our legislative work and urgent action alerts. Meanwhile, get moving, get into good trouble, it’s time to save democracy. Save the Election Stop the Stormtroopers

Action #1: NO DELAY! Save the Date – Save the Election

Deadline: RIGHT NOW – Worried the Dictator-in-Chief won’t leave if he loses in November? Now he doesn’t want the November election at all, based on his lies about mail-in vote fraud. Can you say “@#$%!!”? We knew you could! See our article and this fact check to fight internet trolls about vote-by-mail fraud. Good news: He CAN’T do it on his own: The Constitution says Congress sets the election date & changing it would require changing the law. Bad news: The Secretary of State, 4th in line for the Presidency, joins Trump in not knowing/not giving a @#$% about the Constitution. (Fun Constitutional fact: check out what happens on 1/20 if there’s no new president!) GOP Members of Congress are starting to say no. Every Member of Congress needs to say HELL NO.

What You Need To Do:Tell your Members of Congress to scream bloody murder! Contact info for our East Bay folks is below. Even more important: if you (or any of your friends & relatives) live in an area with GOP MoCs, use the “Find your Member of Congress” link below to get names and full contact info.

Action #2: Stop the Stormtroopers

Deadline: Right away! – More “Just say Hell NO” — this is happening in our own cities, unmarked federal agents are tear-gassing and abducting Black Lives Matter protesters. And on their tour list: Oakland! We need our local officials to make sure this doesn’t happen, and we need you to tell them so. That includes Members of Congress, Mayors, City & Town Councils, and local law enforcement. Read our article for call scripts, contact info, and more. Then start calling and emailing. Once they hit our streets, it could be too late.

Join a VSA Team to Save America

There are six battleground states on our road to win the White House. No, CA isn’t one of them — but IEB members are teaming up to win them through Vote Save America’s state-adoption plan. And we want YOU to join our team! We’ve made it easy for you, and you can do it pandemic-safe from your couch. Read our article, then email nancylatham63@gmail.com or mcgoldrick.charlotte@gmail.com to sign up. Schools & Communities First!

Prop 15 — also known as Schools & Communities First — is a California ballot initiative that would reclaim $11 billion EACH YEAR for schools & communities by closing a corporate property tax loophole that benefits wealthy corporations and investors. Read GC member Ted’s article about why Prop 15 is so important to him, as a parent, and to ALL OF US. To join Ted & others to help it pass, email info@indivisibleeb.org with the subject Prop 15.

Jumpin’ July AMM!

We Could Not Make This Up

Alex, I’ll take Demon Sperm and Hydroxychloroquine for $500, please … if you haven’t already heard about Stella Immanuel MD, we can’t do justice to the Science-Flunker-in-Chief’s new fave COVID Doc here, you’re just gonna have to read all about it. Hey, we’re doing you a service with that link — FB & Twitter took her vids down, tho she warned “face book will be down in Jesus name” if they didn’t put her profile page and videos back. And speaking of Docs … Now that the Major Leagues spread COVID-19 faster than a fastball, is Dr. Fauci the National Pastime? He can’t pitch, but his card’s a winner. We’ll stay safe at home!

Indivisible East Bay is a chapter of the Indivisible movement. We are a grassroots organization focused on stopping the Trump administration’s policies.

We cover the East Bay Area, spanning California’s 11th, 13th, and 15th congressional districts. In addition to IndivisibleEB, there are a number of other Indivisible groups covering specifics cities, countries, and even neighborhood. Whenever possible, we try to work together in order to build a coalition of like-minded activists resisting the Trump agenda.
