In just a few days, Democrats have one of our last opportunities to set the tone for the November elections.
At stake is a special election for a seat in the Texas Senate, with huge implications for one of 2020’s most surprising swing states. Winning this race on Tuesday would keep Democrats just one seat away from breaking the GOP supermajority in the chamber – and it could even put us on a path to flip the entire state blue this fall.
This is also one of the LAST special elections in the country before Trump himself faces the voters. It’s absolutely critical that Democrats everywhere head into the fall with a WIN at their backs – and that’s why we can’t leave anything to chance.
A victory right now would have implications for every level of the ballot this fall – when Texas could single-handedly shape the future of the U.S. House and Senate, countless legislative races, and even the presidency. But we need supporters stepping up in every single state to give Democrats the help they need NOW.
Don’t wait until November to make a difference. Races like this are Democrats’ best chance to build momentum for a historic November victory, and we can’t afford to let that chance slip away.
