Greetings! While the daily news can be very discouraging, there is more hope than ever that the Democrats can keep the House, take the Senate and make inroads in State races. But it will take work to make sure every eligible voters gets to vote. With only four months to election day, the time to act is now. Don’t wait for Fall to be part of the next Blue Wave!
Lean Left VT is proud to support four grassroots organizations that support black voters in their respective states of North Carolina, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Georgia.
Be A Voter Protection Guardian
Quick voter registration, easy voting, and having our vote count is something that Vermonters take for granted. However, voters in other states face many obstacles. Add in Covid-19 and voting goes from hard to scary. Democrats are investing in voter protection earlier and more aggressively than in 2016 – it is likely to be one of the major issues of 2020. You can be a part of Lean Left VT as we work with voter protection teams in four key states: PA, WI, NC and GA.
Register Voters From Home Lean Left phone bankers have been calling low-turnout environmental voters with the Environmental Voter Project, encouraging them to vote-by-mail. According to Shannon Seigal, “With your help, we’re seeing excellent results in Florida so far. We are seeing contact rates six times higher than in pre-COVID phone banking campaigns, and we have already helped over 530 unlikely voters in FL sign up to vote from home through 2022. This work is hugely impactful, especially in such an important election year.” Six times higher!
Get in on their regular Action Hours every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 4-6pm EDT. And be sure to join their upcoming Days of Action on July 21st and July 23rd, 60 days out from early voting in some states. Trainings are available at the link, too.
