Have a Happy and Safe Independence Day Weekend

As we celebrate the 4th of July this year, it is hard not to think about the great challenges facing our country and the additional meaning behind wishing someone a “safe” holiday weekend. This year, being safe includes wearing a mask and keeping some distance when visiting with friends and family who are in high risk groups. Honoring our nation includes recognizing our own responsibility to defend the principles our nation is meant to be rooted by: democracy, equality and justice for all. Not since before the passage of the Voting Rights Act have these core principles been more threatened than they are right now.

With all the challenges we face, it is important to take some time to rest and celebrate what we love about our nation. But we should also find some time to give back in the week ahead. Many of our CCDP volunteers will be calling voters over the next several days to identify more Democrats and strengthen our party ahead of the November election. Others will be taking part in demonstrations or giving back to their community by working with non-profits and charitable organizations. However you choose to celebrate this week, we hope you will do so safely and with hope that we can overcome the challenges we face together.

NOVEMBER STARTS NOW!

Are you ready to tell Lindsey Graham to pack his bags and send Jaime Harrison to the U.S. Senate? How about helping Joe Cunningham and all the amazing candidates running for county offices and the state legislature? We will be having phone banks every day from now until November 3. We are going to identify every Democrat we possibly can so that we can turn them out to vote in November. With your help, we can do this!

CAN YOU COMMIT $10 PER MONTH UNTIL NOVEMBER?

We found more monthly donors last week, bringing us closer to our goal. A commitment of as little as $5 per month or more can make a difference. If you are already a monthly donor, please consider increasing your giving level by an extra $5 or $10. We need to find $1,790 more per month in recurring donations to build a winning campaign.
