Juneteenth: Online or In Person. The Ann Arbor NAACP Juneteenth celebration will take place on June 20.

Ann Arbor City Council – Ward 1 Candidates
TONIGHT (6/18): The Ann Arbor Democratic Party will be hosting an Ann Arbor City Council forum for Ward 1 candidates via Facebook Live at 7 p.m. This includes incumbent Anne Bannister and Dr. Lisa Disch. You can watch this forum live as well as past Ann Arbor City Council forums on the Ann Arbor Democratic Party Facebook page here.


Her World Initiative Candidate Forums
Her World Initiative is an organization focused on advocacy, awareness, and education for and about women who are affected by domestic violence. (Learn more here.) They will be hosting two online candidate forums in June focused on domestic abuse and intimate terrorism. 


Juneteenth: Online or In Person
The Ann Arbor NAACP Juneteenth celebration will take place on June 20. There will be a one-mile walk for racial justice from 9 a.m. to noon beginning at Fuller Park. There will be a number of speakers at Wheeler Park from noon to 2 p.m. (Please wear masks and stay six feet apart from each other if you plan to attend.) There is also an option for virtual participation. More details are available on our calendar.


Black Lives Matter: Ypsi Protest
A peaceful protest will be taking place in support of the BLM movement in Ypsilanti on Saturday, June 20 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The organizers ask that you meet at the Ypsilanti District Library and wear all black or BLM attire. For more information, visit the Facebook Event page. Remember to keep yourself and others safe by wearing a mask.
