INDIVISIBLE CHICAGO PODCAST SHOW NOTES FOR MONDAY, MAY 18, 2020

  • Each Monday for now, Indivisible Chicago opens a Zoom room and welcomes all comers to a virtual phone bank — Michigan Mondays. Indivisible Chicago is organizing calls into a southwest Michigan state legislative district which is key to flipping the Michigan State House Blue. This week, a reluctant activist faces his fears and gets with the program. You can get with the program at 3state1mission.com.
  • We start in Michigan, and then cross the Lake to Milwaukee to hear from Angela Lang, Executive Director of BLOC — Black Leaders Organizing for Communities — which is dedicated to organizing communities in Milwaukee. Learn more at blocbybloc.org. The New Yorker article discussed can be found here: https://bit.ly/3675hgL.

Angela will be headlining a virtual event on Wednesday, 5/20: How Milwaukee Could Decide the Next President: An Indivisible IL9 Salon. RSVP here: bit.ly/mke-rsvp.
