President Barack Obama spoke out to remind us that defeating Donald Trump’s extreme right-wing agenda and his allies has never been more important.
In a video message announcing his endorsement of our presumptive nominee, Joe Biden, President Obama talked about how “nothing is more powerful than millions of voices calling for change,” and how vital it is for “Americans of all political stripes to get involved.”
He warned us that “one thing that everybody has learned by now is that the Republicans…are not interested in progress. They’re interested in power.”
Then, President Obama issued a challenge to every Democrat in America to take action, before it’s too late: “Our country’s future hangs on this election, and it won’t be easy… Now’s the time to fight for what we believe in.”

President Obama is right: America’s future really does hang in the balance, and he wouldn’t be speaking out now unless the moment was urgent.
As he emphasized himself, Republican state legislators are even now trying to kick millions off their health insurance. They’ve “denied the science of climate change – just as they denied the science of pandemics.” They’re even disregarding the rule of law itself in their quest to remain in power.
After all that’s happened these last four years – and with everything that’s at stake in thousands of state races across the nation – we CANNOT let Trump’s agenda and allies win another four years of power. Hundreds of millions of dollars are already pouring in to fund Republican campaigns, we can’t afford to waste a single moment.
