I hope this message reaches you and your families in health and happiness. I want to take this opportunity to update everyone on the efforts of No Dem Left Behind. Our candidates continue to campaign, albeit virtually. But what does that mean for their campaigns?
Canvassing has come to a complete halt, but phone banking has never been more engaging than it is today. Rather than using robocalls, which have shown to be ineffective, our candidates, staff, and volunteers call their neighbors to check up on them and remind them that an election is on the horizon, and now more than ever we need to come out and vote BLUE!
Our candidates are all working hard to communicate with their districts, and one way to do that is to organize virtual town halls. Campaigns have gone to great extents to continue to spread their message and the good news is people are looking for any means of normalcy. Our virtual town halls provide relief from the 24/7 news cycle. We are spreading a message of hope and a bright future, and that is what we believe our country needs more than ever before.
It has been hard, and I am not trying to sugar coat anything. We have been forced to make some difficult decisions, and some campaigns have dealt with the virus first hand like I have. Last week, I believed I was suffering from Covid-19, although there was no way to know fore sure, because we live in America and testing is only accessible for the rich and powerful.
Thankfully, my symptoms have subsided, but I will admit that I was scared and the Trump press conferences only made things worse. Trump was born without empathy, and it shows now more than ever before. We have to get to work, to deliver hope, and to come together to Vote Blue to Save America!
We want everyone’s first priority to take care of themselves and their loved ones. Second, encourage everyone to donate what they can to a local food bank or charity. Third, if you are healthy please donate blood and plasma, it can and will save a life! After you have checked off all three, we would appreciate some support, so we can continue to campaign and flip these red districts blue!
