Seven inmates in Cobb County Georgia’s Detention Center awaiting pre-trial arraignment died last year due to severe neglect. Personal stories of psychological and physical torture including starvation, contaminated water, gang rape and assault, filthy unhygienic conditions, illegal lockdowns and the blocking of outside communication were told at Zion Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia last night. Sheriff Neil Warren calls the reports lies, but inmates and their families call him a sadistic monster who’s gone unchecked and unchallenged for more than a decade.
